Area of square = a²

Area of rectangle = ab

Side of square = 12 cm

Breadth or width of rectangle is 9 cm

then ,

Area of square = Area of rectangle

12 × 12 = Length × 9

144 = Length × 9

Length = \dfrac{144}{9}

Length of rectangle = 16 cm

Area of rectangle = 16 × 9 = 144 cm²
