as given in the question we have

area of plot=23.04m^{2}

by using formula

area of square= side^{2}

23.04=s^{2}

so

s=4.8m

side of square =4.8m

Given: The area of a square plot is 23.04m².

To find: The side of the square.

Solution:-

Let us assume that 'a' be the length of the side of the square.

The area of a square is the measure of the space or surface occupied by it.

But in this question, we have been asked to calculate the length of the side of the square, which can be calculate only with the formula of area of square.

The formula of area of square is given by,

  • Area = a²

By substituting the known value in the formula, we get:

⇒ 23.04 = a²

⇒ a = √23.04

⇒ a = 4.8

Hence, the length of the side of the square is 4.8m.

Additional information:

A square has 4 vertices and 4 sides. In square, all four interior angles are equal to 90°. All four sides of a square are equal to each other. The opposite sides of the square are parallel to each other. The diagonals of the bisect each other at 90°.

Formulas of square:

  • Area of square = a².
  • Perimeter of square = 4 * side of square.
  • Diagonal of square = a√2.
