We know that,

Area of a square =  (side)^2

✨Now, your question..

Let the length be x .

Given area =  800 \: m^2

◾By condition,

 {} x^2 = 800

 \implies x = \sqrt {800}

 \implies x = 20 \sqrt {2}

 \implies x = 20 \times 1.414

 \implies x = 28.28

✨Hence, the estimated length of the side of the plot is 28.28 m.

Done.. ✔️
