Question:

The area of a trapezium if its parallel sides 32cm and 20cm, and the non parallel sides are equal, each being 10cm.

Solution:

BE =  \frac{1}{2}( ab - dc )= 6cm \\  {h}^{2}  +  {6}^{2}  =  {10}^{2}  \\  \implies \: h = 8cm \\ Area \: Of \: Trapezium = \\   \frac{1}{2}( 32 + 20) \times   {8cm}^{2}  \\  {208cm}^{2}
