Solution :-

Area of trapezium is given by

</p><p>A= \frac{1}{2} (a+b)h</p><p></p><p>

If one side is a then the other side is a−16 since the difference of parallel sides is 16

∴  A = \frac{1}{2} (a+a−16)×15=300 \\  \\  </p><p></p><p></p><p> \\  \\ ⇒ \frac{1}{2} (2a−16)×15=300 \\ </p><p></p><p></p><p>

</p><p>⇒(2a−16)×15=600</p><p></p><p>

</p><p>⇒(2a−16)=40   \\ [By  \: dividing  \: both  \: side  \: by  \: 15]</p><p></p><p>

2a=56

2a=56a=28 m

The other parallel side=a−16

The other parallel side=a−16a−16=28−16=12

The other parallel side=a−16a−16=28−16=12Therefore, the sides are 28m and 12m.
