area=1/2×(x+x+8)cm×20cm

0.05m^2=1/2×2(x+4)cm×20cm

0.05×10000cm^2=(x+4)cm×20cm

500cm^2/20cm=x+4cm

25cm=x+4cm

x=21cm

longer parallel side=29cm.

area= 0.05 sq.m h=20cm or 0.2m

let the smaller parallel side be x m

than the longer parallel side = (x+0.08)m

area of trapezium = 1/2× (p1+p2) ×h

0.05 =1/2 ×(x+x+0.08) ×0.2

0.05 =1/2 ×(2x+0.08) ×0.2

0.05 =1/2 ×2(x+0.04) ×0.2

0.05 =(x+0.04) ×0.2

0.05 =0.2x +0.008

0.05-0.008 =0.2x

0.042 =0.2x

0.021=x

the length of longer parallel side =0.021+0.08 =0.101m
