Step-by-step explanation:

Area of trapezium (A)= 0.5 ×100×100 cm ^2 = 5000m^2

height (h) = 20 cm

let a parallel side be (a) x cm

then another side (b) = x+8cm

A = 1/2 × h (a+b)

5000 m^2 = 10(x+x+8)

5000/10 = 2x + 8

500-8 =2x

492/2 = x

x = 246cm

longer side = x + 8 = 246 +8 = 254cm

Note : I have done 100×100

because the unit was in m^2 which means (m.m) = (100cm .100cm)
