And its area 1080cm²

∴ 1080 = ½ • (55 + 35) • a

• Taking ‘a’ as the distance between the parallel sides.

→ 1080 = ½ • 90 • a

→ 1080 = 45a

→ 1080/45 = a

→ 24 = a

∴ The distance between them is 24cm.
