the area of a trapezium is 12 sq. m. if its height be 3 m, find the sum of its parallel sides .

=>(a+b)=12×2÷3

=>(a+b)=8

Area of trapezium
= 1/2(sum of parallel side) * height
= 1/2(x)*3= 12
1/2*3x= 12
3x/2 = 12
3x = 24
x = 8
Sum of parallel side is 8
