| The area of a trapezium is 120 sq.cm. If its height is
8cm and one of the parallel sides is 18 cm, find the
length of the other parallel side.​

Given , area of a trapezium = 120 sq.cm.

height = 8cm

side a = 18cm

Let the other side be b = x

So,

area of a trapezium = 1/2 × h (Sum of the parallel sides)

120 = 1/2 × 8 (a+b)

120 = 1/2 × 8 (18 + x)

120 = 4 (18 + x)

120/4 = 18 + x

30 = 18 + x

x = 30 - 18

x = 12 cm

So, the other parallel side is 12cm (ans).
