Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let the common ratio of parallel sidesbe x and height be 16

area of trapezium = 1/2 *h(a+b)

                      160 = 1/2*16(2x+3x)

                       160= 1/2 *16(5x)

                        160 = 1*8 (5x)

                         160= 8*5x

                          160= 35x

                            x= 160/35

                            x=32/7

     2x= 32/7*2 =64/7

     3x = 32/7*3=96/7

therefore the length of the smaller side is 64/7

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(a+b)h/2=160

A/b=2/3

H=16

A+b=20

A/b=2/3

A=2b/3

B+2b/3=20

5b=60

B=12

A+12=20

A=8
