The area of a trapezium is 165 cm and its height is 10 cm. If one of the parallel sides is double the other, find the two parallel sides. ​

Let the length of one of the llel sides

be x cm then the length of another side will be

2x cm of the given trapezium.

Height = 10 cm

Area of the trapezium = 165 sq .cm

Area=a+b/2×h

165=x+2x/2×10

165=3x×5

165÷5=3x

33=3x

33/3=x

x=11

1st parallel side =11

2nd parallel side=2x =2×11=22
