We know that,
Area of a trapezium= 1/2 × height × (sum of parallel sides)
Given ......
Area of trapezium= 176cm²
Distance between it's two parallel sides i.e Height = 8cm
let 1st side be x
According to question,
It's second side will be = x+10
176cm²= 1/2×8cm (x+(x+10))
176cm= 4(2x+10)
176/4= 2(x+5)
176/8= x+5
22= x+5
22-5= x
x= 17
thus,
length of 1st side = x= 17cm
The length of the 2nd side = x+10= 27 cm
Hope this helps you....✌
