The area of trapezium = 108cm^2

Let the shorter side by acm

The longer side  = 6+acm

Height = 9cm

Ar. of trap. = 1/2(sum of two parallel side) x height

a+a+6 /2 x 9 = 108cm^2

2a+6/ x 9 = 108cm^2

9(2a+6)/2 = 108cm^2

18a+54 = 108 x 2

18a+54= 216

18a = 162  (subtracting 54 from 216)

a = 162 /18

a = 2cm

shorter side = a cm = 2 cm

longer side = a+6 = 8 cm

Given,

Area =180 cm^2

Height=9 cm

Let the parallel sides be 'x' and 'x+6'

We know that,

Area of a trapizium = 1/2 × (sum of parallel sides)×height

Therefore, 180= 1/2×(x+x+6) × 9

=>180×2=(2x+6) ×9

=>360=18x+54

=>306=18x

=>17=x

HENCE, 1st parallel side=x=17cm

2nd parallel side =x+6=17+6=23cm

Hope this is helpful....
