the area of a trapezium is 210 cm square . the ratio between the lengths of its parallel sides is 3:4 . if its height is 6 cm find the length of both the parallel sides .

let the length of parallel side be x

3x+4x=210 /2

7x=210 /2

x=30 /2=15

the side of length is45,60 ok

Answer:

Let the height of the parallel side be x.

So,first side =4x

Second side =3x

According to question,

210=1/2(3x+4x)*6

210=7x*3

7x=210*3

7x=630

therefore x =90

First side =4x

=4*90

360 cm

Second side =3x

=3*90

=270cm
