Given:

Area of trapezium= 248 m²

Height (h)= 8 m

Let the one parallel side be= x m

Other parallel side =( x-4) m

Area of trapezium = 1/2 ( sum of parallel sides) × height

248 = 1/2 ( X+ X- 4)× 8

248 = (2x - 4) × 4

248/4 = 2x-4

62 = 2x-4

62+4= 2x

66= 2x

X= 66/2

X= 33

One parallel side (X)= 33 m

Other parallel side(x-4)= 33-4= 29 m

Given

  • Area of trapezium= 258m²
  • Height = 8m

To Find

  • Length of Two parallel Side

Solution

Let The one side of parallel side be x cmthen the Other side be (x-4)cm

We know that,

 \implies \sf \: Area \:  of  \: Trapezium= \:  \dfrac{1}{2}   \times sum \: of \: parallel \: side \:  \times  \: heigth

\implies  \sf \: 248= \:  \dfrac{1}{2}   \times x + x - 4 \:  \times  \: 8

\implies \sf \: 496= \:   2 x - 4 \:  \times  \: 8

\implies \sf \: 62= \:   2 x - 4 \:

\implies \sf \: 66 + 4= \:   2 x

\implies \sf \: x =  \dfrac{66}{2}

\sf \: x =33m

  • One parallel side (X)= 33 m
  • Other parallel side(x-4)= 33-4= 29 m
