Let the shorter parallel line be x

So the longer one will be x+4

area of trapezium=  (x+x+4)(8)/2

 248=(2x+4)(4)

 62=2x+4

 2x=58m

 x=29m

 x+4=(29+4)m=33m

geetarama7666: You have just find out 1 side mthat is a=33 m . To find out b (the second side) 33-4=29m.
