Area of trapezium is 2500 sq.m
One of parallel side is 75 m

Let the other parallel side is x m

Distance between them is 40 cm = 40/100
= 0.4 m

As we know the formula

Area of Trapezium= 1/2 (Sum of parallel sides)(Distance between them)

2500 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (75 + x)(0.40) \\ 2500 = (75 + x)(0.20) \\ 2500 = 15 + 0.2x \\ 0.2x = 2500 - 15 \\ 0.2x = 2485 \\ x =  \frac{2485}{0.2}  \\ x = 12425
Therefore Other Side is 12425 m

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation

Area of trapezium =2500m^2

One parallel side=75m

Height=40cm means40/100m

Area of trapezium=1/2×height (sum of parellel sides)

So,let the other parellel side be 'x'

1/2×40/100×(75+x)=2500

=166.6m

So side of the other parellel side is 166.6 m

Hope it helps
