Answer:

8 cm and 15 cm

Given:

Area of trapezium=276 cm^2

Height=24 cm and one parallel side is longer than other by 7 cm

To find:

The length of the parallel sides

Solution:-

Let one side be x

Then other be x+7

Area is given 276 cm^2

We know that

area \: of \: trapezium =  \frac{1}{2} \times (sum \: of \: parallel \: sides) \times (height)

276 =  \frac{1}{2} \times (x + x +7)24

552 = (2x + 7)24

 \frac{552}{24} = 2x + 7

23 = 2x + 7

23 -7= 2x

16=2x

x = 8

----------------

One side=8 cm

Other side=8+7

=15 cm

Answer:

The two parallel sides are 8cm and 15cm.

Explanation:

Here we have not given both of the parallel sides. We have given that one side is 7 more than the other.

As, we know -

Area of trapizium -

½×h×(sum of the parallel sides)

In the question,

Height = 24 cm.

& Let the sides be x and x +7

[ one side is 7 more than the other ]

Solution :

½ × 24 × (x + x+7) = 276 cm²

12(2x + 7) = 276

2x + 7 = 23

2x = 16

x = 8 cm.

We got (x) one of the parallel side is 8 cm.

Other is (x + 7)= 8 + 7 = 15cm.
