let the parallel sides be x and x + 16

area = 300

1/2( x + x + 16) x 15 = 300
1/2 (2x + 16 )15 = 300
15x + 120 = 300
15x = 180
x = 12

one side = 12
other side = 12+16 = 28

1/2(a+b)h=300
a,b=parallel side
h=dist. between=15
a-b=16
1/2×(a+b)×15=300
a+b=40
a=28
b=12
