the area of a trapezium is 312m^2 and its height is 24m. if one of its parallel sides be 17m find the length of other side

Area of Trapezium = (1/2) *h*(a+b)

312 = (1/2) *24*(17+b)

312 = 12*(17+b)

17+b = 312/12

17+b = 26

b = 26-17

b= 9
