Answer:

{\huge{\underline{\underline{\sf{\blue{Solution :-}}}}}}

Given:-

The area of a trapezium is 34 CM^2 and the length of one of the parallel side is 10 cm and its height is 4 cm . Find the length of the Other parallel side.

To find :-

Find the length of the Other parallel side.

Hence,

We have , area of trapezium is equal to 34 CM ^{2}

Length of one of the parallel sides say , a = 10 cm

Perpendicular distance between parallel sides (height) = 4 cm

Let b be the length of another parallel side.

 Area \:  of  \: a \:  trapezium  \:  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times ( \: a \:  +  \:  \: b \: ) \times  \: h

 =  >  \:  \:  \: 34 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (10 + b) \times 4

 =  >  \:  \: 10 +  \: b -  \frac{34 \times 2}{4}  \: or \:  = 17

 =  >  \:  \: b \:  = 17 - 10 \: or \: b \:  = 7

Thus , the other parallel side of the trapezium is 7 cm .
