Lets take ,

Area of trapezium =34cm^3

Length of the parallel side be a=10cm

Height =4cm.

And length of other parallel side be =bcm .

Now by applying the formula

Area of trapezium =1/2(a+b)×h

34=1/2 (10+b)×4

34=(10+b)×2

34=20+2b

34-20=2b

14=2b

14/2=b

b=7cm..

Therefore the length of other parallel side is 7cm.
