The area of a trapezium is 34 square and the length of one of the parallel Sides is 10 cm and its height is 40 cm. Find the length of the other parallel Side.​

Area of Trapezium = 1/2 × h (a + b)

34 = 1/2 × 40 (10 + b)

34 = 20 (10+b)

34 = 200 + 20b

34 - 200 = 20b

166 = 20b

166/20 = b

8.5 = b

Therefore second parallel side of trapezium is 8.5 cm
