Area of Trapezium = (1/2)*h*(a + b)
Where
h = height of trapezium
a & b are the lengths of parallel sides.
Given:
Area of trapezium = 34 sq cm
Height of trapezium, h = 4 cm
Length of one parallel side, a = 10 cm
To Find:
Length of another parallel side, b = ?
34 = (1/2)*4*(10 + b)
34 = 2*(10 + b)
17 = 10 + b
b = 17 - 10 = 7 cm
Where
h = height of trapezium
