Step-by-step explanation:

Area of Trapezium = 1/2 (sum of parallel sides)

× height

35 = 1/2 (5+x) × 10

35 = 5+x/2 × 10

70 = 50+10x

70-50 = 10x

20/10 = x

2 = x

Therefore x=2

Answer:

Area of trapezium is 1/2 (b1+b2)

35=1/2 + (5+x) x 10

2x35 = 5x x 10

70 = 50x

70/50=x

2=x
