Given :

area of trapezium = 368sqm.

distance between parallel sides,height=16 cm

To Find :

length of the other side

Solution :

let the other side be x

area \: of \: trapzium \:  \\ =  \frac{1}{2} \times( a  + b) h

 \implies \: 368 =  \frac{1}{2} \times (20 + x)16  \\  \implies \: 368 \times 2 =  1  \times (20 + x)16 \\  \implies \: 736 = (20 + x)16 \\  \implies \:  \frac{736}{16}  = 20 + x \\  \implies \: 20 + x = 46  \\  \implies \:  x= 46 - 20 = 26

length of the other side of trapezium

 \green{ \boxed{26cm}}

Answer:

Given :

Area of trapezium = 368 cm²

Height = 16 cm

One of the parallel sides = 20 cm

To Find :

Length of other parallel side

Solution :

We know that,

→ Area of parallelogram = 2 × Sum of parallel sides x Height

Let the other parallel sides be x :→ 368 = 1/2 × ( 20 + x) × 16

→ 368 = (20 + x) × 8

→ 20 + x = 368 / 8

→ 20 + x = 46

→ x = 46 - 20

⇒ x = 26

Other parallel sides = 26 cm
