Given:-

  • Area of Trapezium = 4400m²

  • Length of 1st Parallel Sides = 30m

  • Length of 2nd Parallel Sides = 14m

To Find:-

  • The Distance between the Parallel sides i.e, height.

Formulae used:-

  • Area of Trapezium = ½ × Sum of Parallel sides × Height

Now,

→ Area of Trapezium = ½ × Sum of Parallel sides × Height

→ 4400 = ½ × ( 30 + 14 ) × Height

→ 4400 × 2 = 44 × h

→ 8800 = 44h

→ h = 8800/44

→ h = 200m

Therefore, The Height between the Parallel sides is 200m

Some Basic Formulae of various Quadrilaterals-

  • Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

  • Area of Square = ( Side )²

  • Area of Parallelogram = Base × Height

  • Area of Rhombus = Product of Diagonal / 2

area of trapezium =4400m sq.

1÷2 (a+b) × h=4400

1÷2 (14+30) ×h=4400

1÷2×44×h=4400

44×h=4400×2

h=4400×2÷44

h=200m

i hope it helps you
