Solution :
- Area of trapezium = 4400 m²
- Parallel sides of trapezium = 30 m and 14 m
- Height = ?
[Note : The distance between the parallel side = height of the trapezium ]
★ Finding the distance between the parallel sides :
→ Area of trapezium = ½ × (Sum of parallel sides) × Height
→ 4400 = ½ × (30 + 14) × Height
→ 4400 = ½ × 44 × Height
→ 4400 = 22 × Height
→ Height = 4400 ÷ 22
→ Height = 200 m
- Hence,the distance between the parallel sides is 200 m.

⇒ 4400 = ½ × (30 + 14) × Height
⇒ 4400 = ½ × 44 × 200
⇒ 4400 = 22 × 200
