Hi ,

Let a , b are the two parallel sides

of the Trapezium ,

It is given that ,

a : b = 7 : 5

a = 7x ,

b = 5x

Distance between them = h = 18cm

Area ( A ) = 540cm²

[ ( a + b ) h ] /2 = 540

[ ( 7x + 5x ) × 18] /2= 540

( 12x × 9 ) = 540

x = 540 / ( 12 × 9 )

x = 5

Therefore ,

a = 7x = 7 × 5 = 35cm

b = 5x = 5 × 5 = 25cm

I hope this helps you.

:)
