Answer:

Given :-

  • Area of trapezium = 60 cm²
  • Distance between parallel line = 6 cm
  • One of the parallel side = 8 cm

To Find :-

Other Parallel side

Solution :-

As we know that

 \bf \: Area = \frac{1}{2} \times (p_1 + p_2) \times h

Let the other parallel line be x

 \implies \sf \: 60 = \dfrac{1}{2} \times (8 + x) \times 6

 \implies \sf \: 60 = 1 \times (8 + x) \times 3

 \implies \sf \: 60 = 3(8 + x)

 \sf \implies \: \dfrac{60}{3} = 8 + x

 \sf \implies \: 20 = 8 + x

 \sf \implies \: 20- 8 = x

 \sf \implies \: 12 = x

Hence :-

Measure of other parallel line is 12 cm.
