Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Area of a trapezium = 72 cm^{2}

One parallel side = 10 cm

Height of the trapezium = 12 cm

∴ By the problem,

=> \frac{1}{2} (a+b) × h = 72 cm^{2}

=> \frac{1}{2} (10+b) × 12 = 72

=> (10 + b)  × 6 = 72

=> 10 + b = \frac{72}{6}

=> 10 + b = 12

=> b = 12 - 10

       = 2

Hence, the length of another parallel side is 2 cm (Ans)
