Given,

Area of Trapezium=800cm²

x₁=48cm

x₂=32cm

To Find,

Distance between parallel sides (h)=

Solution,

Area of Trapezium=1/2 sum of parallel sides ×distance between them

area of trapezium=1/2(x₁+x₂)×h

800=1/2(32+48)×h

800=80/2×h

800=40×h

h=20cm

Hence, the distance between parallel sides(h) = 20cm

Answer:

The distance between the parallel sides will be 20 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Here the area of the trapezium is given to be 800 cm

Also, the two sides are given to be 48 cm and 32 cm respectively

We have to find the distance between the two parallel sides

The distance will be equal to the height of the trapezium

area of trapezium = (1/2) × sum of parallel sides × height

                     800 = (1/2) × ( 48 + 32 ) × height

                    1600 = 80 × height

               height = 1600/80

               height = 20 cm
