The area of a trapezium is 80cm² and the length of one of the parallel sides is 7cm and its height is 16cm. Find the length of the other parallel side?

A = h(a+b)/2 , where h is height and a and b are parallel sides length

therefore

80 = 16(7+b)/2

160 = 16(7+b)

10 = 7+b

b = 3cm

so the length of other parallel side is 3cm
