Answer:

Let h be the distance or height , a & b the parallel sides.

Then area of trapezium = 850

1/2 (a+b)h = 850

(64 + b) x 17 = 850 x 2

64 + b = 1700/17

64 + b = 100

b = 100 - 64

b = 36 cm

Therefore, the other parallel side is 36 cm

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:it is given that area of trapezium is 850 sq cm

let other parallel side be x

we know that,

area of trapezium = 1/2*sum of the parallel sides*height

     850 sq cm        = 1/2*(64+x)*17

      850*2/17           = 64+x

        100-64             = x

            36                  = x
