Answer:

One of the parallel sides of the trapezium is a = 20 m, let another parallel side be b, height h = 15 m. The given area of trapezium = 480 m2. or b = 44 m. Hence the other parallel side of the trapezium is 44 m.

\huge\tt\fbox{✯Answer✯}

\small\bf\underline\green{Given:}

  • Area of the trapezium = 480 m
  • Distance between two sides = 15 m
  • one of the parallel side = 44 m

Let the other side of parallel side of the trapezium be "x" m

Now let's calculate the other side of the trapezium by using the area's formula of trapezium , the formula is :

\bf\red{Area\:=( \frac{1}{2}  \times (a + b) \times h)}

Where,

  • a and b is the sum of parallel sides.
  • h is the height .
  • Area is given , that is 480m

\bf\pink{Now,\:let's\:solve\:it}

\bf{⇒480\:= \frac{1}{2} \times (44 + x) \times 15}

\bf{⇒ \frac{480 \times 2}{15}  = 44 + x}

\bf{⇒ \frac{960}{15} = 44 + x}

\bf{⇒64 = 44 + x}

\bf{⇒x = 64 - 44}

\bf{⇒x = 20}

Hence, the other parallel side of the trapezium is 20m.
