Answer :

44 m

Step-by-step explanation :

Let the other parallel side be x.

According to the question ;

Area of trapezium = 480 m²

⇒ 1 / 2 * ( sum of || sides ) * h = 480

⇒ 1 / 2 * ( 20 + x ) * 15 = 480

⇒ 15 ( 20 + x ) = 2 ( 480 )

⇒ 300 + 15 x = 960

⇒ 15 x = 960 - 300

⇒ 15 x = 660

⇒ x = 660 / 15

⇒ x = 44

Hence, the other parallel side is 44 m.

Solution:-

Given:-

Height = 15m
One Parallel Side = 20m.

Let the other side be x m.

Area of Trapezium = 480 m^2

 = > \frac{1}{2} \times sum \: of \: parllel \: sides \: \times \: height \\ \\ = > 480 = \frac{1}{2} \times (20 + x) \times 15 \\ \\ = > \frac{2 \times 480}{15} = 20 + x \\ \\ = > 64 = 20 + x \\ \\ = > x = 64 - 20 \\ \\ = > x = 44

Hence,

Other Parallel side is 44m long.
