let the parallel sides be 3x and 5x respectively
area of trapezium = 1/2(sum of parallel sides)×height
384 = 1/2(3x+5x)×12
384 = 4x × 12 = 48x
x= 384/48 = 8
then 3x = 3×8 = 24 cm
5x= 5×8 = 40cm
hope this helps
