Answer:

44cm

Step-by-step explanation:

answer is 44cm

formula

area \: of \: trapezium = h(a + b) \div 2 \\ 480 = 15(20 + x) \\960 = 15 \times20 + x \\ 44cms

Question :

  • the area of a trapezoidal field is 480cm² and the length of one of it's parallel side is 20m and it's height is 15m find the length of other parallel side

Given:

  • Area of field is 480²
  • Length of Parallel sides is 20m
  • Height is 15m

To find:-

  • Length of other parallel side

Solution:-

→Area of trapezium = ½×(a+b)×h

→480 =½×(20+b)×15

→480×2= (20+b)×15

→960=(20+b)×15

→960=300+1

→15b=960-300

→15b =660

b=\frac{660}{15}

→44

  • Therefore the measure if other parallel side is 44m
