height of the trapezium =h= 3cm
area = A = 36cm²
length of one parallel side = b1 = 9cm
b2 =?

(b1+b2)h/2 = A

(9+b2)*3/2 = 36
9+b2 = (36*2)/3
9+b2 = 24
b2 = 24-9
b2 =15 cm
