The area of a triangle abc is equal to area of square of side length 6 cm. What is the length of the altitude to ab where ab=9 cm

Given, area of ABC=area of square of side,6cm
=6*6=36cm^2
area of ABC=1/2*AB*BC. (only for a
right angle)
(1/2*base*height for normal ) =1/2*9*BC=36cm^2
altitude(height)=36*2/9
=8cm
