Area of triangle =1/2 x base x height

1/2 x b x 16 =160

8b=160

B=160/8

B=20

So, base=20cm

Hope it will help you

rupalidas1976: Base of a triangle = area×2
sri846: No bdy u r wrong
rupalidas1976: Sorry mistake
sri846: Koi nhi
rupalidas1976: Base of triangle = area×2/ height. In this case area = 160. Height = 16 base = 160×2/16 so 10 × 2 = 20 therefore base = 20
sri846: Yes this is right bdy
sri846: I also do the same thing

answer is 20 cm

step by step :

area of triangle = 160 cm

height = 16 cm

Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height

               ∴ 160   =1/2 × base × 16

               ∴160    =8 × base

                ∴ 160/8 =base

                 ∴base=20 cm

∴ Base of triangle is 20 cm.
