Given :  area of a triangle is 60cm sq

the sides become four times

To Find :   the area

Solution:

If Sides of a triangle becomes 4 times of the triangle then both triangles would be similar

Ratio of area of Similar triangle = (Ratio of Corresponding sides of triangle)²

Ratio of Corresponding sides of triangle = 4

=> Area of New Triangle / Area of Old Triangle =  4²

=> Area of New Triangle / 60 =  16

=> Area of New Triangle = 60 x 16

=> Area of New Triangle = 960  cm²

Area of New Triangle = 960  cm²

Answer:

960 cm² is the answer

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Area of triangle = 60 cm²

The sides becomes four times

To Find:

The area of the new triangle

Solution:

If Sides of a triangle becomes 4 times of the triangle then both triangles would be similar

Ratio of area of Similar triangle = (Ratio of Corresponding sides of triangle)²

Ratio of Corresponding sides of triangle = 4

= Area of New Triangle / Area of Old Triangle =  4²

=  \frac{Area of new triangle}{ 60 }=  16}

= Area of New Triangle = 60 x 16

= Area of New Triangle = 960  cm²

THEREFORE, THE AREA OF NEW TRIANGLE = 960 cm²
