the area of a triangle is equal to that of a square whose side measures 6 cm find the side of the triangle whose corresponding altitude is 90 m

here's ur answer...

area of the square=area of the triangle

given the length of the side of square is 60m.

therefore it's area=side²

=60×60

=3600m²

hence the area of the triangle is also 3600cm²

given the corresponding altitude of the triangle is 90m

area of the triangle=3600m²

→1/2×b×h=3600m²

→1/2×b×90=3600m²

→45×b=3600cm²

→b=3600/45

→b=80m

hence the side of the triangle is 80m

★verification★

area of the triangle=1/2×b×h

=1/2×80×90

=40×90

=3600m²

hence verified.
