area of triangle = 420 cm²
1/2 × base × height (or altitude) = 420 cm²
1/2 × 35 cm × height = 420 cm²
35/2 × height = 420 cm²
height = 420 × 2/35 => 840/35 => 24 cm

hope this helps

Area of triangle =A= base * altitude/2

So
420 = 35 * altitude /2

420*2/35 = altitude

Altitude = 24 cm
