Question :

To find height of a triangle

Answer :

Given :

  • Area of triangle is 3 ha

  • Its base is 200 m

  • height = ?

{\underline{\boxed{\bf{area \: of \: triangle \:  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times b \times h}}}}

  • b = base
  • h = height

In this question , the area of triangluar farm is mentioned in ha. 'ha' is the symbol of Hectare.

We know that,

1 ha = 10000 square metres

So, here 3 ha is 30000 square meters . Hence, Area is 30000 m².

\sf\rightarrow \: area \:  =  \frac{1}{2} \: ( b \times h )\:  \\  \\  \sf \rightarrow \: \frac{1}{2}  \times( 200 \times h) = 30000 \\  \\ \sf\rightarrow \:  \frac{1}{2}  \times 200h \:  = 30000 \\  \\ \sf \rightarrow \:  100h \:  = 30000 \\  \\ \sf\rightarrow \: h \small  =  \frac{30000}{100}  \\  \\ \bf\rightarrow \: h \:  = 300

Hence, height is 300 m ( a )

Let's verify ::

\sf =  \:  \frac{1}{2}  \times b \times h = 30000  \\  \\ = \sf  \frac{1}{2}  \times 200 \times 300\:  = 30000 \\  \\\sf =   \frac{1}{2}  \times 60000 = 30000 \\  \\ \sf \: 30000 = 30000

\bf \: LHS \:  =  \: RHS \:

Note : 3 ha(hectare) is 30000 m².

Thus Solved !!
