Step-by-step explanation:

area \: of \: triangle \:  =  \:  \frac{1}{2}  \: base \:  \times  \: height

So:

\frac{area \: of \: triangle}{ \frac{1}{2}   \: base} \:  =  \: height

By this we can proceed.

Base = 3 metres

Area = 18 sq m

height  \:  =  \: \frac{18}{ \frac{1}{2} 3}  \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: =  \frac{18}{1.5}  \\   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  12

Height = 12 metres

Hope it helps.
