Answer:

a+b+5=12

a+b=7⇒a=7−b...(1)

a2+b2=52

a2+b2=25...(2)

From (1)  and (2)

(7−b)2+b2=25

49+b2−14b+b2=25

2b2−14b+24=0

b2−7b+12=0

(b−4)(b−3)=0

⇒b=4,3

a=7−b⇒a=3,4

Area=21×4×3=6sq. units
