Given, Area of isosceles triangle = 12 cm^2 and base = 8 cm.

We know that Area = (1/2) * base * height

⇒ 12 = (1/2) * 8 * h

⇒ 12 = 4h

⇒ h = 3 cm.

Now,

By Pythagoras theorem,

We know that c^2 = (b/2)^2 + h^2

⇒ c^2 = (8/2)^2 + 3^2

⇒ c^2 = 4^2 + 9

⇒ c^2 = 16 + 9

⇒ c^2 = 25

⇒ c = 5 cm.

Now, Perimeter of triangle:

⇒ (2 * 5) + 8

⇒ 18 cm.

Therefore, perimeter of triangle = 18 cm.

Hope it helps!
