Area of triangle = 1/2bh
but b = 12 , h = ? and area = 27
Hence 27 = 1/2 * 12 * h
So h= 27/6 = 4.5cm
As the height is perpendicular and divides the base
The smaller triangle base = 12/2= 6cm
Hence by Pythagoras theorem
Side = s
s^2 = 6^2 + 4.5^2
s^2= 729
s = 27 cm
Hence the h = 27cm
So 27 is the side of 2 sides because it is isosceles triangle.
Hence 27 + 27 + 12 = 68cm
Hence P = 68cm
